Turkish airline pilot dies mid-flight, forcing emergency landing at New York airport

A Turkish airline pilot passed away due to a heart attack during a flight, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing.

According to an international news agency, the Turkish airline flight had taken off from Seattle, carrying passengers to Istanbul, when the pilot suddenly fell ill, suffering from a heart attack.

The two co-pilots in the cockpit took control of the plane and made an emergency landing in New York. During this time, the crew provided medical aid to the ailing pilot, but he could not survive.

After completing necessary procedures, the plane resumed its journey to Istanbul with a two-hour delay.

The pilot was 59 years old and had been associated with Turkish Airlines since 2007. He had recently passed a routine medical examination at the Aviation Medical Center.
