RAWALPINDI: Parks and Horticultural Authority Rawalpindi (PHA) in collaboration with BYKEA launched a campaign of Clean Green Rawalpindi. Pillars of Rawalpindi Metro Bus route have been used for this campaign. A slogan is also seen on the pillars of Metro ‘Drakhat Hoon Ge Tu Hum Hoon Ge’.
PHA is also renovating Committee Chowk flyover with the construction of new pots and walls along the roads with the collaboration of BYKEA.
PHA has launched another initiative ‘Open Air Gym in collaboration with BYKEA. The project of installing open-air gyms in the parks of Rawalpindi has been started. In the first phase of the project, an open-air gym was installed in Allama Iqbal Park, Shamsabad.
These works were taken after Asif Mahmood, Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister visited various highways in Rawalpindi. Instructions have been issued for the early implementation of various projects to beautify parks and highways under a public-private partnership. Asif Mahmood directed all the officers to take all possible steps to make the city of Rawalpindi more beautiful. He directed to install benches, dustbins, and flower plants on all the highways of the city.
