Jawad Ahmad song hit on social media for ‘Kisana’

ISLAMABAD: Renewed singer Jawad Ahmad released a song ‘Kisana’ for Indian farmers who have been protesting for over a period of two months camped at the Delhi-Haryana border demanding the repeal of three Farm Laws introduced by the Indian Central government of BJB.

In a statement Jawad Ahmed said he made the video after seeing how the farmers’ movement in India is being recognised across the world. “KISANA is a revolutionary song for peasants of the world, to inspire and motivate them to struggle for their rights. It is a dedication by Jawad Ahmad to all the global peasant movements,” he further said.

He further said, the lyrics are comprised upon the poetry of Faiz Ahmad Faiz and also written by the singer himself. The music of the video is composed by Sher Ali Bagga.

The lyrics of the song say,’Uth Utaan Nu Kisana Hunn Tu Jeena Aay, Polia Tu Jag Da Ann Data Teri Sohni Tarti Maata Tu Jag Da Tu Jag Da Palan Haar Hunn Tu Jeena Aay (asking peasants to rise and that they are the providers of the world).

Singer Jawad Ahmed is also chairman of Barabri Party Pakistan. In the latest update, the international media reported, Indian Supreme Court on Tuesday pressed pause on the laws enacted in September in a huge blow to the government.
